ROOKIE, HOMETOWNER, OWENS
READY TO ROLL AT DAYTONA
DAYTONA BEACH FL (2-6-08) - When the gates open up at
Daytona, so do the stories. From 73-year-old veteran James
Hylton to 19-year-old rookie Alli Owens,
there is always plenty of fodder to go around.
Owens, a hometowner from Daytona Beach, will be making her
career-first ARCA RE/MAX Series attempt at Daytona Int'l
Speedway when the 45th running of the ARCA 200 takes shape
Saturday afternoon, February 9th. That is to say if she
makes the race, which will be no easy chore considering
there are already 66 first-class machines on property.
Fortunately for Owens, she's working with the expertise of
Mario Gosselin, who serves as Owens's car owner and mentor.
